Party Chat Issues with Xbox App

So, when I stream from my Xbox One to my PC using the Xbox app, the party chat gets moved over to my PC. Since I use a headset plugged into my controller, so I can't speak to or hear the people in my party anymore, but can still hear the game audio. However,
if I use a mic and headphone combo with my PC, I can hear the party, but now I can't hear the game audio in real time (due to the latency of streaming).

Is there any way to have that audio from the party streamed over, yet still be able to use the party on an xbox headset? This used to not be an issue (since the party audio wasn't stream-able). This happens whether or not the audio is set to be outputted
on the speaker, headset, or both. Using the Twitch App solves this problem (since everything stays on the Xbox), but I'd rather stream it over for the more customization options for streaming on a PC.

Hey thepuff273,

Gold is still required for party chat via the Xbox App. What specific errors or issues are you encountering with party chat? Or is it simply that no one can hear you and you can't hear them?

Beta Version of the iOS Xbox App Accepting Users

Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to take part in the experience of the Xbox app

These are some issues/features that would go great along with party chat on iPhone
1. A way to switch between audio chat from iPhone and Xbox mic

I started a party chat on the Xbox app but then wanted to use switch to my headset on my Xbox, I had to leave the party chat and join again on the xbox

2. Possibly game audio on iPhone from the Xbox app

The Reason imm sending feedback here is because its not working with the testflight app on ios

Any update on this? I had the same problem, so I switched to another PC that was still working correctly, meaning I could see my xbox one streamed through windows 10, but continue to use the controller with the headset as usual.

And then after several weeks, just like with my 1st PC, for some reason the party chat now transitions away from my controller headset to my PC when I start streaming. If I stop streaming, the controller headset starts working again. So my choice is to
either participate in party chat OR see the screen, but not both.

This makes streaming useless for any multiplayer activity involving party chat.

Which version of the Xbox app are you using, the standard, or the Xbox (beta) version? This sounds like it's certainly not the expected behavior, and to investigate thoroughly we probably need to get a snapshot of data from your PC.

Would you mind downloading the Xbox (beta) app (if you haven't already), reproduce this issue, and then send us feedback by selecting the Feedback option from the dropdown in the top left corner? That'll allow us to dig deeper into what's going on here.

This is because the XBOX app will make fake XBOX one controller connection to your XBOX ONE

while you streaming. Thus while you start the streaming XBOX party app automatically switch to use that mic not actually exist of the fake controller.

There once was a simple solution to this problem which was to assign that fake controller to a guest account however that fake controller does not visible in the XBOX setting now so there just no way to solve that.

This just shows how stupid and incapable those who in charge of the XBOX services now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

To the leo and ash and others annoyed by this problem there are two method you can try to make the party app switch to the real head set connected to your controller they are not guaranteed working but still worth trying.

First method: make sure your headset is connected to your controller and streaming is running then hold the voice up/down button until you can here the party chat from the headset.

Second method: make sure the streaming is not running and party is through your headset properly then just wait until the controller shutdown by itself, after it happens power on your controller again and start the streaming hoping that things gonna be good.

!!!To MS staffs, the easiest way to fix this problem is to make that fake controller made by win10 XBOX app visible and manageable in the XBOX ONE setting again!!!
