Party chat issue?

today I got my new xbox one and tried to talk to my friend and in the party and my friend's name didn't have the green dot next to the name... It was blank could I have been muted? How does that show up for the mutee If that had happened? I've been able
to chat to others in a different chat but not this one . And I got my nat settings set to open ... Please help?

Go in party chat whilst its snapped. Make sure 'turn party chat on/off' is switched on.

 

Party Chat Not Working

Hey all,

Just signed up as I got my xbox one today. Loving it so far.

However has anyone figured Party chat yet? I can start a party and join the chat, but no one else in that party can.

additionally if i join a party I'm unable to join the chat and get the message "Party chat cannot be started at this time"

Any Ideas?

you might have been on mute like you said you can chat in other parties

 

I read somewhere that if a person is muted they can still hear the person that muted them... i heard nothing.

 

did you unhook you your mic or kinect to try again

 

i didn't unhook the mic.. but next to my name there was a circle and it lit up when i spoke.. there was no circle next to my friend's name.

 

ok did you expand the rooster on the chat and made sure no one was muted

Btw.. i had this problem before when i used to invite people to party chats.. i couldn't see the circle.. but when they invite me we chat fine.. the hard reset thing worked then.. but this is a new console as the other one blew up and now the chats work
for some and not the other.. and i have tried the hard reset again....

 

try to change to a diffrent chat setting

 

ok push the guide button click chat setting the click chat options
