Party chat issue after changing batteries

I can connect to party chat mostly 70% of the time but sometimes I can connect but no sound. The main thing I'm writing about is when i've had to change batteries and rejoin party chat i'm shown as connected but no sound.

Both times a reboot is required to fix the issue.

My network is classed as open NAT.

Ive gone and bought another controller and the audio adapter so i can use the 360 headset and on both the controller and the alternative headset I get the same issue.

Wired mic unlinked when controller disconnects

With the last update, I have been having an issue with the mic and party connection.

Repeatable:

Batteries in controller die and swapped out. When controller turns back on, the party volume coming through the TV stops, but no volume comes through the mic. Upon checking the party, it says "no mic detected." Unplugging and replugging the mic sometimes
fixes it.

Temporary fixes:

Unplugging mic before batteries ejected

Leaving party and rejoining

This is a very annoying and constantly reoccurring issue that is affecting multiple people. I know it is not my mic, as it throws me into a limbo between game chat and party chat. Visual confirmation of game chat, but no audio sent or received.

 

Party Chat Issues

Yep , had to use Skype in the background for friend chat whilst gaming.

 

Check your audio settings by going to the 'Settings' app and then going to the Audio tab near the bottom of the list of squares. When there you'll see all sorts of audio options. Go to the far right and change the output and input settings. See which ones
work for you. It's not great I know but I found that messing around with these settings can sort out these kinds of issues. It turns out that for some reason these settings can be changed to the point where I was playing a game and the sound was very quiet
even the the volume on the TV was quite loud. This seemed to have fixed it. Come back if you're still not sure though.

I don't see how my audio settings would cos this as it would do it all the time and not just intermittently and especially after changing batteries?

 

I've had all sorts of issues with audio for changing things like HDMI cables etc so it's worth checking it out just to see what options you have in that settings area though. Play about with the options and see what works for you. It might work for you.

Bit of a shame that its a work around and not a 100% fix..... but i can live with it.

 

Whenever im in a party and my controller is out of power, i switch controller for a secondary one. And by doing this i can't get the party chat into the headset again (on my secondary controller) until i go into settings and assigns the controller to my
profile.

Not exactly what your issue is about, but maybe give it a try when replacing batteries.
