    Party Chat/In Game Chat stopped working


    Previously with the Xbox App party chat and in game chat was working fine. However this week I've had no luck with it.

    I can hear game audio and other people talking just fine in my headset but they cannot hear me. I've triple checked my audio settings and everything is set correctly (as it has been since I started using the Xbox App). My Turtle Beach headset & mic works
    perfectly with Skype, for example.

    I've checked support on this site but all it says is:

    "Make sure your audio device for both input (microphone) and output (speakers) is set correctly on your PC. Under
    Control Panel, select Hardware and Sound, and then select Manage audio devices. You’ll find these settings on both the
    Playback and Recording tabs. At the present time, this needs to be selected before you begin Game Streaming."

    So what happens when input and output for my audio device is set correctly on my PC prior to beginning Game Streaming and yet others cannot hear me talking?

    No Party Chat between US and Europe

    Beginning last weekend the party chat between myself and a friend stationed in Germany stopped working. It began to get spotty, then would stop working altogether after a minute or two. We tried again this week and had absolutely no sound. XBox 360 party/game
    chat works fine. Any ideas?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware. Please make sure to follow the steps accordingly:

    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

    2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

    3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    If that didn't work, can you please try using a different controller or check if there is an update for your controller where your headset is plugged in?
