  1. Party Chat: I can't hear anyone through my headset... 2 headsets, 2 adapters, 2 ...

So after my Turtle Beach x11s physically started to break (though still worked as a headset, one of the cups came apart) I decided to get a new headset (HyperX Cloud IIs).

After the most recent updates and testing BOTH headsets with TWO different controllers through TWO different headset adapters (yes...two.) I still cannot hear anyone in party chat, yet I can hear all other game and dashboard sounds. My kinect works fine
    in party.

This has to be a console problem through process of elimination.

Are there any fixes which actually work for this or are Microsoft working on a patch so I can use my £300 console, with £30 online membership, £75 headphones, £20 adapter and £50 game? It's unacceptable, and seems to have happened since the most recent update.
I cannot play Evolve or party chat with friends anymore because of this.

    Regards,

An unhappy and disappointed XBL user of 6 years with no party chat problems until this.

    :)

  2. Xbox One mic will not work. Can hear but nobody can hear me. HELP.

My headset voice chat randomly stopped working.

My mic and party are not muted.

I've done hard restarts on my xbox.

    I've reset my router.

    I've literally tried everything.

I have a turtle beach xo four headset that I tried on 3 controllers. Nothing.

I went and bought a new microsoft headset and a new controller. Nothing.

To recap. 2 headsets, 2 adapters, 4 controllers and I'm ready to throw this thing away.

    Please. Help.

Same! I've tried multiple controllers, voice adapters and headsets. I can hear game sounds and what not just fine. It's hard to play multiplayer games without any form of communication.

    Kinetiquette...

Well, for me, I haven't really had a choice to use good Kinetiquette...

I can't hear other people through my standard Xbox One headset very well due to my severe hearing loss, so I've been using my TB X42 headset from my Xbox 360 with the Kinect to chat. I've been having issues for weeks getting the headset to work properly
with the stereo headset adapter since I can't hear anyone, so I can't exactly mute it like everyone else can. If I could've I would've.

That's where the good news comes in. After weeks of experimenting with 2 separate chat adapters, other controllers, and an extension cable for the adapter - I finally solved the issue. I replaced the chat cable on my TB X42 and the headset is now fully functional
with the chat adapter. This means I will now be able to mute my headset while issuing voice commands... ;)

...well, I would if I hadn't used up all of my batteries through the headset. :(

Please donate all rechargeable NiMh AAA batteries to the GG Relief Fund. :p

Microphones on both of my headsets not working since this week's update

I can't hear anybody through my TB XO One headset, but they can hear me. Game chat is fine, but in party chat it doesn't work. It shows me speaking when I speak, and my friends tell me they can hear me, and if I unplug the headset, I can hear people speaking
    through the TV speakers.

The fact that game chat still works proves that it's Microsoft's software, not my headset, adapter, Xbox or controller.

Cannot speak in party/in-game chat. But can hear everyone through headset.

In parties/chats I can hear my friends but my friends can't hear me, this happened after a 2 week ban... And this headset works on my brother's profile on the same console (one). So it's not a headset issue, it's a profile issue. Please help!! Thanks

    Mic not working

    funny

I have a similar problem see below

Xbox one original controller, stereo headset adapter and headset and I can hear in game chat but as soon as I connect to party chat, they can hear me but I cannot hear them. I tried the original headset that comes with the xbox one and it worked so I figured
it was the stereo adapter. so I purchased a new stereo adapter and have the same issue. so I purchased a new controller with 3.5mm jack. I have the same issue. but if I use my headset connected to the 3.5mm jack on the new controller party chat works fine,
but doesn't work connected to stereo adapter (and I tried 2) So I thought I would try on my sons xbox one (we have 2 xbox ones in the house) so we swapped headsets , controllers and stereo adapters and I had the same problem on my xbox one. whereas his was
working fine (and he was using my controller, headset and adapter) So it would seem to be an issue with my console, that is the only hardware difference. any ideas?

Why only party chat can go through TV speakers?

    Not game audio, game chat.

In settings, Xbox has an option to make party chat output go through your headset, headset and TV, or TV.

but that's only for party chat. i've always wondered why xbox can't do the same for in-game chat too?

With in game chat, if your headset is plugged in; game chat automatically goes to the headset, with no option to have it output through TV.

really sucks when you can't wear headsets, you can't play socially outside of parties. (in party chat; i use my headset mic, but have their voice output through my TV. game chat has no option to do this, you must wear your headset to hear teammates)
