Party Chat echoes

I was really looking forward to using the party chat from my windows 10 with my pc microphone except everyone in the party is echoed through me. If i use the same microphone with the same settings on something else like Skype, it works perfectly fine.
Is there anyway to fix this? I cant find anyone else who has the same issue

Party Chat echoing

Hi I'm having trouble with party chat, every time I'm in party chat my Mic echoes and I'm using a hyper x, and I've used a Razer Cracken Pro V2. And it still echoes it's driving me crazy. Is it my internet, or is it with Microsoft??

Agreed. Party Chat worked better at launch than it does now. It's very annoying. Even the famous 360 echoes are now appearing on ONES party chat which was mainly due to poor 2.5 jack connections.

How is the microphone connected to the PC? Are you plugging the mic into the controller or plugging it into an AUX port on the computer tower?

What is the brand and model of the microphone or headset that you're using and what sort of troubleshooting steps have you tried aside from using another app?

it depends who is hearing the echo.

if you are hearing an echo then it is most likely that someone else in your party has their mic gain too high and has party chat through their TV or too loud in their headphones. check whose name shows when you hear the echo.

they would need to turn down party chat volume and/or change their mic sensitivity

If it’s your own mic i would look at how close you have the mic to your mouth, if it’s a wireless headset most of them have settings you can change by plugging the dock or headset into a pc and changing them that way.

Hi sir

The first things i would suggest is the more common problem solving ideas...

Check to make sure your mic isnt too close to your headset,

Make sure your audio settings are adjusted both on your headset and on your console,

make sure your volume on the tv is set to zero while using a headset.

Try a different controller and see if it makes a difference,

And lastly...just make sure its not your friends headset who has there volume and mic to loud and close as you creat a loop when talking.

We didn't have party chat on because when your in a party and use skype you get an echo because it's broadcasts on both channels
