    Had fall update now party chat has a bad crackling noise and also when not on party’s. any ideas

    Official Xbox One Headset making crackling sounds through the microphone

    According to my friends in party chat and snapchat on the xbox one, my headset occasionally makes a crackling sound so is there anyway to fix it?

    Xbox One Headset Issues/Question

    How is the chat quality in a game like Titanfall? My Astro's sound amazing (hooked into the back of X1 with optical cable) but the chat is pretty bad outside of Skype.

    Headset audio did crackle. And no I did not use party chat

    The resolution and bitrate I chosen is 480p 1000kbps

    But when you use your headset in party chat, does your mic work fine, no crackling?

    I suggest that you try changing its settings using the steps I provided above and see which option would work.

    Unfortunately that cannot be the case, as I stated in the OP, this happens with 3 different sets of headsets - and one of them (the original MS chat headset) was new out of the box but still this happened.

    My friends don't hear shrill in party chat, I do. They apparently hear "cricket sounds".

    In game chat they dont hear cricket sounds, they hear slight crackling (which I don't - game chat sounds perfectly for me).

    I tested the same headsets in Skype and they worked perfectly.

    Xbox One Stereo Headset - Others can barely hear me

    I have now disabled that option. I tested my voice in party chat, and it seems to pick me up better. I also tested voice over in Upload Studio, it's very clear. Thank you for your help - it seems to have worked. Now to just get rid of those crackles...
