Discus and support party chat broken for latest preview build in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Most recent build of preview makes it so in party chat my mic isn't registering speech.     Most recent build of preview makes it so in party chat my mic isn't registering speech. Have confirmed all relevant accessories are in working order. Mic is not muted when using. Console and connected router have been reset.

    To clarify, is this friend enrolled in the
    Update Preview     via the Xbox Insider Program? There's currently an active investigation into an issue in the latest preview build which can interfere with arty chat if one of the members of the party chat is on a preview update.

    There is an issue at the moment with the latest build.As Code Monkie said,any games bought while on the latest build of the dash/preview will only work on consoles in the preview program.
