    the past two months i havent been able to socialise during lockdown on xbox because whenever i enter party chat my audio is so quiet it may aswell not be able make noise through it whenever i talk the circle around my profile doesnt move and i have to
    shout down the mic so you can hear me a little i need help fixing this

    Are you using the chat mixer to change the balance between party and game chat audio? That function makes a beep when you max out the mixer function to all game or all party chat audio.

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums.

    Could you, please, elaborate a bit more on specifically what audio are you unable to hear when you have your headset connected to your controller? Game audio or Party chat audio?

    If this pertains to Party chat audio, then I recommend that you take a look at

    this     article as it covers different troubleshooting techniques for diffrent scenarios reguarding party chat.

    Keep in mind that certain headsets, if not equipped with a stereo feature, only support one type of chat, that is usually Party chat.

    To be able to record party chat audio you will need an Elgato or anything external capture card as that will capture any audio on your Xbox (Party, Game, All audio)

    The audio will come from the source. If your PC is the source of the party chat, it will be the source of where the audio is. You would need to either open the party chat on your console or get a headset that allows multiple inputs.
