Party can hear my game audio even though my TV is muted and my headset volume is low.

I was playing with 5 people this weekend and they could all hear my game audio even though my TV was muted and my headset volume was low. The said it was confusing and frustrating, but I have no idea how to make it stop. Does anyone know what causes this?

    :)

Game audio through headset without adapter

Any other tips regarding this? It's pretty straightforward on my PS4, I plug a headset into my controller and all audio is sent to my headset and audio to the TV/Soundbar is muted. Then there are separate settings for adjusting the game volume and chat volume
    to your hearts content.

Just received my Project Scorpio, and I can't figure this out. Turning the Headset Volume slider to the max brings the volume to acceptable levels, but still sends audio to my soundbar. Additionally, I'm having problems mixing the game/chat audio. I want
game audio at like 100 and chat at 75; is there any way to do this? I can barely hear chat if it's at 50 let alone 25.

Currently i'm using 100% chat and just blasting my TV, so I can still hear the game audio over my headphones. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Can't Seem To Get My Headset Mic To Work

The audio coming through the ear pieces is great. I can hear all my friends just fine. I can't seem to get them to hear me though. The volume is fine. The headset is and mic is not muted. I do not have my friends muted and they don't have me muted. All my
setting are correct (as far as I know). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Game audio not playing

I can hear game volume through my TV, just not through my headset. I can hear party audio, just not game audio.

Better headphone for hard of hearing

There are many different headsets on the market. Many ,such as the higher up models of Turtle Beach ones have built in amps.I use them for late night tv as well as gaming because even though my tv is on low volume I can hear my show at the same volume as
    the movie theatre.

What happened to the Wireless Headset?

I did not like my wireless headset at all when I had it. My tv volume had to be so low as to not be heard through the headset that I could barely hear the game audio. Sorry for not being on topic, just my two cents.

    Quick Question

    Hey there RatedRLegend!

I can totally understand that you wouldn't want to wake up your neighbors. If you don't want to hear the TV audio, simply turn down the volume on your TV. You will still be able to hear in game audio on your headset. When the headset is plugged in, sound
from the TV is not automatically muted or adjusted.
