Party banned.

Microsoft doesn't ban people in third-party games, enforcement for third-party games is handled by the developer. You will not be banned by Microsoft, only by the developer. Microsoft cannot help you with that.

Not all suspensions are 24 hours for a first offence.The length of a suspension depends on the severity of the offence.

@Wills944,you are responsible for your account so if you let people use your account & they are caught breaking the rules it is you who will be suspended.

If you report someone you will have no way of knowing whether they get suspended or not after they are investigated.

Sometimes you may get a thank you message from the enforcement team if someone is suspended as a result of a report you filed but usually you wont be told anything.

Someone must have reported you for something in a game. It is not uncommon. with the new reporting scheme. it's fairly easy to do, but impossible for you to have looked into.... I had someone send me a derogatory message after my nephew played a game...
yet I was banned for several days...Received another message "You must be some kind of special stupid boy" after a WoT game that the house mate played. [hmmm I am 46 lol], I did as instructed, sent it in and nothing was done to that user... but I tell someone
to mind their business and keep the opinion to themselves and I got banned.....

2 weeks ago, I uploaded one of my Police designs in Horizon 2/XB one.... it posted then said "You've been banned". But I kept cool, thinking it was just a problem with all the other issues that are plaguing MS/ Publishers.... I waited for the week count
down to end.... I logged in the day it was to expire.... it said I had 5 minutes left.. left the game and logged out... returned a half hour later... Ban Message in the game inbox disappeared... went to the game store front... and to my surprise it said I
was still Banned from using the feature...

So I reviewed the ToS, since MS wrote it in such a way to attempt to cut out any legal recourse on the gamers side... What miffed me was, I paid the penalty for whatever the issue was that triggered the ban [still no clue what it was, since I do the same
thing in EVERY Game.], waited for it to be over, and Microsoft was 0 help whatsoever.. I figured perhaps the CS would contact Turn 10 [since Turn 10 IS a Microsoft Company] and have them look into and fix it.. NOPE.. the disconnected the session on
me!

My stupidity was that I had just paid for the XBL up for a full year..... other wise I'd sell the thing and go playstation

cod nope I am banned from party chats and game chat for some reason I have been in a party with my buds for 2 days no game chat and I get temp banned

First bans are like this are handled by the developer, right now that would be Bungie over at untie.net. The problem is they are handing control of the game to 343 industries next week I believe.

The problem is in either case your ban can not be lifted and any general rule for contesting bans a legitimate ban will double the punishment. Your ban was do to the player kr33s AFKing, which means your group was banned for party boosting. Since this player
was in your party, everyone is punished for that indiscretion. This player was part of your party as the GT showed up over multiple playlists (I.e. Swat and snipers).

You will just have to ride out the ban.
