Party App not working

Hello and thanks in advance for any help given. So yesterday destiny wouldn't connect for me so I loaded up GTA5. My brother sends a party invite and I hold xbox button to no effect. We tried this many times. So I attempt to open the xbox party app and it
gives me the spinning loading sign forever. Even when we circumvented this by ingame job invite, we couldn't talk to each other.

So today I try to load up Destiny and it sits at "waiting for party to stabilize" screen. Not letting me launch to go anywhere. It always stabilizes right away whether im in a party or not. I tried the party app just to get the same constant spinning wheel.

NAT is open, can do other things like watch YouTube and Netflix with no lag or issues at all. I tested multiplayer connection and it came back good.

It won't let me uninstall party app to try a reinstall, so I'm not sure where to go from here.

Hey, guys! If you are on the May update, that hasn't gone public yet. Sounds like you might be in the preview program. Please make a post about this in our
Update Preview Forums for further support on this situation, especially if you are still running into it.

Please also let us know if you are unable to access those forums. We'll double check to make sure that you've got the proper permissions!

 

I don't have an answer unfortunately, but I am experiencing the same problem as you. It just started about an hour and a half ago. The status page status that "social & gaming" features are limited, so I'm hoping that that's the reason why and it's fixed
soon.

 

I have a different problem with the party app. Me and my friend joined a party and it said he was connecting and then we left the party and then it had an x on his name when we came back to the party and we couldn't hear each other, then now it won't even
let him invite me to the party.
