    Party app automatically closes when putting game into full screen.


    I have just received the new xbox dashboard, after downloading it I joined my friends party, I stayed on the dashboard home and explored a little just to get the hang of things, we then decide to play a game so I go to launch the game into full screen as
    I hear people talking while launching the game they instantly cut off, every time I full screen the game the party instantly stops. Anyone else receiving this problem? I've reset the console I still have the same problem I cannot be in an xbox party while
    playing a game AT ALL. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

    Xbox App closing itself.

    Recently thought i had fixed this problem but it's gotten even worse in the past few days. The App used to close itself when someone joined my party but now the app will randomly close itself if i have another application open on my screen such as my web
    browser or i go full screen on a game on my pc. The app will still close whenever someone joins the party and i dont have the app open on fullscreen.

    I can sign into Xbox.com and other stuff just fine with my microsoft account and it does still close on any other accounts i use. I have reset the app and checked for updates, I've even formatted my PC to see if it was some other app i had downloaded but
    it still closes by itself. I've cleared out my inbox on it, reinstalled the app and tried just about everything i can find on the internet.

    I have made a post similar to the before but that time the App did actually get fixed for a while but now it's even worse than before.

    Hey there unreal243!

    Sorry to hear about the party chat issue! Let's start with just a power cycle for now, which will clear your system cache. To power cycle, do the following:

    • Press and power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • When the Xbox One is powered off, unplug the power cable from it and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Plug the power back into the Xbox One console and power on.
    • Verify if the issue persists.
    Try those steps and let us know how it goes! \Party app automatically closes when putting game into full screen. :D/

    Sorry to hear it. For future reference you should post preview issues to the preview forums.

    In the meantime, power cycling your console by holding the power button for 10 seconds should solve the issue.

    Last Played Game or App always starts when Starting Party App WHY!

    The issue is that unlike other apps that can be ran in full screen the party app dosnt have a full screen option. Because it does not have a full screen mode it must be snapped to start the app and to display the snapped view of anything another app must
    be running on the left side of it and the xbox defaults to the last used app or game to do this.

    If Microsoft added a full screen mode for the Party app it would end this problem as the party app would just default to the full screen version and not require another app or game to be running. Just one of the many over sights and issues that need to be
    corrected with the console.

    Are you leaving the Xbox App up while playing? Also, is you game automatically trying to put you in in-game chat? This would interrupt your part chat.

    I found a work around. I made the app full screen to join the party and it didn't crash
