party and game issues

every game i’ve got onto the past couple of days has gotten stuck on the menu/loading screen of that specific game. so i can’t play any games. also party issues are occurring. i can’t invite friends or join parties. notifications don’t even register when
i invite someone. i feel like it’s all connected somehow but i don’t know how. i got it to work once by unplugging xbox for a while and plugging it back in but since then no luck. i don’t know a fix to this problem. also these games don’t actually freeze on
the menu screen, it’s just like it’s trying to load with bad internet for a long period of time (i have 25 megs of internet so it’s not that)

I have been having issues for the past 40 minutes with my party on Xbox one (constantly keeps saying “connecting” for all of us) and also on Grand Theft Auto V, it’s affecting us being able to join one’s lobby.

This definitely sounds like this could be a network issue, so let's start going down that route. Could you post back with the results of your 'Detailed Network Statistics' test from the Xbox One console's Network Settings? Be sure to include each of the
results. Additionally, post back with the brand and model of both your router & modem, along with any error messages or error codes you have seen.

Check that your privacy settings allow communication with everyone. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide and select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy. Select View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer, and then make your changes.

Not a great solution really having to power cycle for every problem the xbox has,

especially if I'm mid game, shouldn't have to keep doing this. When will this stuff get sorted?

Can you make sure that your tag didn't automatically switch to Game Chat when you enter the party? It seems to happen a lot. Check out your tag in the party and press A on it. If it is in Game Chat then switch it to Party Chat.

If that does not work then while the party is snapped press the Guide button to go home and then highlight the party press the Menu button and select Quit.

If that doesn't work then you'll need to power cycle the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down.
