Party and game chat issues

i remember port forwarding my xbox one with the specific numbers to input but didnt know there was specific numbers for party chat ?

have you logged into your router, and tried to open up the correct ports to enable party chat?

I've been having the same problems. Me and a friend just want to get into a party and play some Halo TMCC most nights, but always finding our self's spending half an hour trying to get party chat working. We both have NAT set to open, and we both have strong
Internet connections. Its my opinion that Xbox Live is just not what it used to be or the Xbox One is not as good as we are lead to believe.

Its getting us really annoyed having this issue every time we want to game Lets not forget it costs money, do we get our days gold back?

Microsoft really need to pull there finger from there butts and get this sorted!

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with this party/game chat issues. I can totally see how this could be pretty annoying after a bit.
I would say to try clearing your persistent storage in Settings> Disc & Blu-ray> Blu-ray> Persistent storage> clear
three times and alternate MAC address in Settings> Network> Network Settings> Advanced Settings is a good primary troubleshooting step for general gameplay issues

.If that does not help, I would suggest then trying a soft reset of the console.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues. To do so, once you have verified
that your network is set up adequately and you know all the sign in information for your gamertags, follow the steps here on
How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox Oneand select the option denoted reset
and keep your games & apps.
