Party and Friends

Every night for the past 4 days i have been experiencing an issue where i get disconnected from a xbl party and when i try to rejoin i am unable to due my friends profiles not showing up when i click on them, if i try to accept an invite from them it will
just tell me that i disconnected. Also i am unable to view my friends profiles as everything shows up as blank. This usually goes on for about 5-10 minutes and during that time to talk to my friends i have to join the party on my PC through the Xbox app. Before
anyone says, it is not my internet as playing online games still works perfectly and its not my friends Internets as they are not getting any problems.

When you start a party or join a party there is no reason why you click it then still have to click again as to talk within the party. I understand leaving the option to turn on or off yet when you just join you should be able to talk just like 360. Not
being able to invite friends easy to the game your in is also annoying. I like being able to click invite to game and have him showing in a lobby with me. In party snap you should have the option to invite party to game.

 

Party chat broke since update today

Friends cant join my party when they try it starts a party one friend has been able to join me but 3 other friends are in party together and we cant join them

 

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

That is always a good first step as it resolves a lot of issues.

 

I will try it but i have to wait till tomorrow to see if it works as it seems to happen every night so far and no other time.

I know that you mentioned not having issues with playing online games, but this article has steps that are helpful as well with party disconnection issues.

Hey bud! Sorry about the issue. All you have to do is re fresh your network settings.

You can do this by going to settings

select network

select advanced settings

select your alt mac address

clear

restart.

Let us know if this works.

I have cleared my alt mac address, i will have to wait to see if it still happens as this seems to happen later on, once a day.

 

Great. Make sure your NAT type in your network settings stays on OPEN. Keep in mind during the day your network isn't being used as much as around 5 o clock for example. If this happens around this time it could just be a shift in the usage in your area.
