    I ordered a pre-owned Xbox 360 Slim and a pre-owned Kinect for Xbox 360 Slim from GameStop.

    The thing is, my Xbox came in the mail recently and I opened the box to find that it is missing a few parts.

    The things I have are...

    *1 Xbox 360 Slim

    *1 Xbox controller

    *1 AC Adapter with all the cables/cords

    *1 Kinect for Xbox 360 Slim with a cable attached to it

    Things I know I am missing...

    *An internal hard drive

    *An AV cable/cord

    The Kinect I got has no extra ports on it so I assume that the attached cable is all I need to make it work with my Xbox.

    I found a brand new 120 MB (if I remember right) internal hard drive for my Xbox on eBay.

    My question is...

    1. Am I missing anything else other than what's on my list above?

    2. Do I need an AV cable in order to hook my Xbox to my Panasonic Viera Smart TV or can I use an HDMI cable since the Xbox has an HDMI port?

    3. If I can use the HDMI port, do I need any extra cables for audio?

    4. When would I need to use the Aux port?

    5. If I need an AV cable, is there a specific type of AV cable that I need to buy? (ex: VGA AV) (searching Xbox 360 AV cable on Google gave me a lot of results but I'm not sure which ones are the right for my Xbox)

    6. Does my controller need anything extra to make it work with my Xbox? (I think, if I remember right, Xbox 360 controllers are wireless but do I need any dongles or anything to make the controller wireless since there are ports on the top and bottom of the
    controller?)

    VGA cable from old style Xbox to Slim Xbox

    With the exception of the hard drive, all acessories and cables that worked with the original Xbox 360 will work fine with the 360 Slim.

    Hi there,

    regarding the Drive sold on Ebay, I would advise to get it from a licensed store, since on Ebay the drives are often fake drives. Fake drives could result in not being able certain games or other options.

    Keep in mind that if I recall correct the only sizes available for S (and E) consoles are 250 or 500GB.

    There is also the option to use a USB device as storage, but I'm not sure if that will work if there is no existing storage at all for the 360 S console. See this link regarding USB storage: Using USB Flash Drive as Xbox 360 Storage

    The 360Slim should work fine via HDMI cable, that will also transfer sound to the TV, so no additional cables should be required for audio.

    the orange AUX port is used for for Kinect. See this link on how to connect the Kinect sensor: Kinect Components | Xbox 360

    A 360 wireless controller doesn't need anything to connect to a 360 console, other then batteries (and it might have to be synchronized prior to it working properly. See this link for the how to:

    You can connect it to the console itself as above. You might be able to use a USB to 3.5 mm adapter if You want to connect to the controller.
