    Parties connectivity issue


    Ok so here is what is happening each time I join or create a party with my fiends ONE of my friends keeps on DCing but if I am not in the party then he does not DC any idea on what is the cause of this. Also both him and I have the same ISP.

    What specifically is the connectivity issue you’re having? Making parties and communicating or the actual online play?

    April Update Available for everyone, but missing two features

    If someone is having trouble connecting to a party for some random reason, the party chat will automatically switch over to a dedicated server so that everyone can connect without issue.

    Hey there samakeeyakul,

    Sorry to hear about the party chat disconnecting. Let's check a few things to narrow this down. Does the issue persist when using both wired or wireless network connections on the console?



    Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

    • Download Speed
    • Upload Speed
    • Latency
    • Packet Loss %
    • Wireless Strength (if applicable)
    • Modem Manufacturer
    • Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number
    • NAT Type

    That information will help us determine the next best steps. Thanks!

    Thank you for the details, everything seems to be looking good on your end. Are you seeing this happen with anyone you do a party chat with or does it always seem to be the same person? Are you using the latest dashboard release as well?

    Can you connect to your friend while you are alone? Can you connect to a third party? and then connect to your friend? Can your friends connect to each other? What happens when you and your friends try to connect?

    I may have just found the answer, it appears that my friend and my Xboxes both are running on the same channel on the router (C: 5) does anyone know a quick fix for this? Or if this is a definite issue that could cause this problem?

    In the case of "Fear The Doctor" above... this isn't a Party Chat error like the OP is having.

    You simply have to push the Menu button and select "Party Chat" because for some reason on rare occasions it puts you in a party but not in party chat.
