Particular game won't read

I bought a copy of FIFA World Cup 2014 this week, but the game won't read. Other games do read, including the last game I had bought before this one. I checked for scratches, but the disc was clean. I brought the game back to Gamestop, who replaced the game.
However, the replacement didn't read either, so I brought it back. The game did work in the store's console, so I'm going to guess the problem is my own console, which is why I'm posting here. The console is five years old, but hasn't been used too much (I
suppose you could say that I'm an infrequent gamer)

So far, I've switched my console off and on, repeatedly opened and closed the tray, cleared my system cache, removed and put back the HDD, and installed the latest updates through LIVE. I don't have any external memory units, so that doesn't apply, and the
disc is for my region (I live in Ireland). Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Check if the 360 games you use are part of the backward compatibility list: Available games

and if the game discs are damaged

I've never heard of a console refusing to play a single game, even if the disc is switched. If the console plays other games fine, and FIFA is compatible with the console (do the console and game have the same region? Region lock is the only thing I can
think of, aside from shady business practice) it should work. If they are, then the game should function normally.
