    Parent/Child Profiles

    please help me before I put my head in a gas oven !

    I have a x box with x box live account - I believe the parent account is associated to my old work email which I have no access to

    My child profile is associated to my current personal email account

    I can’t do anything like download new games

    How do I switch my parent account ?

    I also have a £15 windows credit which again I don’t seem to be able to do anything with probably because of the above.

    On the x box itself my parent profile is locked with a 4 digit code which of course no one knows so literally got 3 kids pecking my head to sort it

    Please help so I can sit in the back garden in the sun and drink wine in peace

    Can't accept the terms of service.

    I have the same parent profile to my profile loop in the acceptance

    Did you ever resolve this? I have the same problem. When our Xbox One system was initially set up (by my oldest son), he set up the Account Owner, which should be me as Mom, as his Profile. Now I need to change that to the Parent account, move his Gamer
    Tag and gaming history into his own Child Profile, and then add two more Child Profiles for my other kiddos. If you figured this out, I'd really appreciate help! Thanks.

    Nothing can be transferred between accounts. He woud still be able to access the games if you set the console as the Home console for the parent account, but he would have to start over and would lose any in-game purchases.

    Is your gamertag under a parental lock/underage profile, as to play online you need to have an adult 18+ profile and not be behind parental settings

    parent acct not connected to child anymore

    If there is no parent account attached to the child account, then it will prompt the child to link a new parent account before it will allow to sign into Live... if it doesn't and there is no parental account, then the child account sounds like it's actually
    an adult account... either way, in this case the first thing I'd try is to delete the profile or profiles and then, using the WLID and password, redownload the profile...
