    Hi,I got my Xbox 360 three years ago and when I started it up I set my account that I use now as the owner of the Xbox,everything was fine with it,I got my xbox one this Christmas and just today I tried to download the exo zombies dlc for call of duty
    advanced warfare,it told me that my account wasn't authorised to by anything and that I needed to change my privacy settings,my settings were set to custom and it said that I was only allowed download things that were free,it wouldn't let me change any settings,at
    this point I was getting frustrated and after some searching around on the internet discovered that this had to be done from Xbox.com,so I was really annoyed by this point as I already at this point had thought the 360 was the better console and making all
    of this awkward had only added on how much I'm not enjoying the Xbox one,so I came online and logged in and went to my account to change the settings,when.......I'm not allowed because I'm using a children's account,I'm 17,no adult accounts are in any way
    on my Xbox,I am the owner,I have bought call of duty dlcs on the 360 before with absolutely not hassle and now I can't buy any thing on Xbox live because I need an adults permission for my Xbox? Microsoft this is not okay,I still haven't forgiven you for not
    letting me play skyrim offline,but can someone please help me with this,I'm desperate for a solution,thank you in advance

    Won't let me download M rated games

    For awhile now xbox hasn't let me download M rated demos and betas. I thought it was because I wasnt 17 yet (I put my real age in, I think). Well, I'm 17 now and it still won't. I want to play Battlefield 4 but it won't let me download.

    I went to parental settings, made everything uncensored and unblocked but it still won't let me. I then just turned family settings off. Again, it says my console isnt allowed to download games of that rating. Any help please?

    Locked out of my main account!!

    Hyrule, I can't do that because I need to sign in to Xbox Live in order to get to the settings, and I can't get on Xbox Live because the parental lock won't let me.

    Hey mate, I do have to admit that I didn't read through your whole post, it's in need of some paragraphs, but if you're having issues viewing and purchases certain content, try and change your online safety and privacy settings through the PC for both Xbox
    360 and One. Follow the link for steps:

    All child accounts do have a default parent account associated with them. You will not be able to create a child account without having a parent account linked to it. If you forgot your parent account, you may reach
    Xbox Support to help you determine the parent account you need to sign in to

    manage your privacy and online safety settings    .

    Parental Confirmation impossible as it thinks we are different regions so can't set up son's XBox Live account

    I managed to set up an account through with the website and that let me do parental confirmation. Now I have a problem that the XBox won't let my son log in to XBox Live with it and he cannot use the email address to create another account and it wouldn't
    let me do parental confirmation if he did. The XBox insists he creates the account through the XBox only but won't let me do parental confirmation so even if he created a new email address it wouldn't help.

    K, I don't have a child account as I cannot upgrade to adult, I have all settings off like the parental controls yet it still won't let me download m rated content, no I'm not violating anything. Figured out I have to make a new account anyway as we don't
    know the parental windows live id. So no I'm not violating anything and no it doesn't matter if I'm 18 or not I can still create another account saying I'm over 18.

    Same. I changed it to unrestricted with the parent account and still won't let me download bf4 premium.
