    So just got my new xbox one, after getting rid of the 360, and when i first set up my Microsoft account i put in my real birth date (this was a year ago when i was 17) and now the xbox one wont let me play online.

    Privacy settings are messed up

    Hi,

    Ive recently been trying to play some online games but I keep on getting the same prompt saying something like how I need to change my privacy account settings for me to access this. I changed my settings to allow me to play the multiplayer games but it
    is just giving the same response. Anyone got any suggestions?

    The issue isn't with your parental settings

    It is open however you have to remember betas are ruled by international laws too

    Due to laws on advertising on mrated content

    Trailers and demos including betas are not allowed to be viewed by minors

    Regardless of parental settings

    Parental settings only affect paid content since they are not ads

    Hitman Absolution - Parental Controls

    I had the same problem. Parental controls is misleading. Go to privacy settings and change it to the default adult setting. This worked for me. Messing around with the parental controls as you've found, does nothing.

    Go to sign in and security, then set up a passkey. Then choose custom passkey and from there you can require a pass key to make purchases, change system settings and sign in.
