Parental controls timer

Discus and support Parental controls timer in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have set up a family timer on my son's xbox 360 but it doesn't work right.     Parental controls timer


    I have set up a family timer on my son's xbox 360 but it doesn't work right. Every day it says he has 2:52 minutes when he should have 2 hours. Everyday I have to go into parental settings and resave it and it will work. I'm sure it is set correctly.
    Any idea's as to why its not working?

    I'm aware of those instructions and its set up as instructed. I also did a network test to xbox live to assure i had the latest xbox 360 app. Any other ideas?

    I noticed you wanted it at 2 hours. And it is set to 2 hours and 52 minutes right? Could someone have tampered with it to extend the time? Does he or someone know your password? Because there is no reason for it to be changing

    No its set to 2 hours. In the parental controls time screen, 2 hours 52 minutes isn't an option. You don't enter a time, you select a time. So for example, the screen says '2 hours', '2 hours 15 minutes', '2 hours 30 minutes', etc. You increment to the
    amount of time you want and save the screen.

    Ok, so lets try clearing your cache after setting the timer to 2 hours. Press the Guide button on your controller after you set the timer to 2 hours and saved it. Then go to Settings, and select System Settings. Select Storage or Memory.

    Once you are in memory you want to highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.) Select Clear System Cache.

    You will be prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

    Once it is done. Double check the time. Hopefully this time, it will be correct

    Yup, I tried that as well. I am completely stumped!! But thank you for your suggestions!!! I really appreciate any advice!

    Wow, I apologize that I couldn't get anything going. Have you tried bumping it up to 3 hours to see if it adds additional time also?

    Family settings

    You cannot set different timers for different accounts. The timer is specific to the console. However, when creating the timer you have a 4 button pass code which you can use to extend your time on the console. Details can be seen here:
