    I can't accept the terms of use on my account online because the parental account on my xbox live is no longer an active e-mail

    I can't get on xbox live because the parental e-mail apparently does not exist. I have contacted x-box support via phone and they could not help me because the e-mail for the parental control was not connected to its own gamer tag. I cannot accept the new
    terms of use without parental consent with the account.

    Nothing but problems

    My guess would be someone put parental controls on the X Box; don't know why else it would block you after midnight or entirely off party chat.

    Thanks both of you. I'll have a play around with this in the morning.

    If they're both in the family account though, do I have to sign in on my account each time they want to use the console, or can they do that independently by signing in on their own accounts?

    One thing I've noticed now, and I won't do anything else tonight..

    1) They're both registered on the family account as adult, despite my changing them to kids on the Xbox live part in Privacy. Do I need to change this anywhere else?

    2) How can I lock their account settings down so they are unable to change what I've amended?

    When you change your children's profile, they will not be able to change again because only the adult can make those changes. These changes can only be made on the console.
