Minecraft - Parental Consent Asking For Purchase of Full Game

    Hi,

We own Minecraft for Nintendo Switch AND Windows 10. I set up a Mojang and Microsoft account for my son. To access his Settings on his Mojang profile, it requires parental consent. I received the Parental Consent via my email. However, when I go to the
Parental Consent page, it's requiring me to purchase the game again for like $26! I thought it only required less than a $1 to confirm a child's account. Please help!

so our son created an account/profile (?) from his 360 console; he also "redeemed" a 12-month Live Gold membership; unfortunately, he sped through the options and i didn't catch what was needed to provide parental consent; i've created a microsoft account,
but am unable to track down how/where to provide the needed parental consent for him to get online..and this after paying $60usd for the game (which he cannot play unless he's got a live membership..???..$$$); please help as this has quickly become a source
of frustration for parent and child alike, thanks in advance.

Parental Consent Why you're being asked for parental consent

If the date of birth on your Microsoft account shows that you're under a certain age, Xbox is required to request parental consent for you to use Xbox Live.

If you're an adult, but you got a message asking for parental consent, it's because you're a child in your Microsoft family.

    Solution

If you're of an age that requires parental consent, follow the steps on your Xbox to have your parent sign in and add you to their Microsoft family.

If you're over the age requiring parental consent, have your parent remove you from the family. They'll have to sign in to
account.microsoft.com/family, select your profile, and select
    Remove.

If you're unable to clear the message, contact Xbox Support.
