    Parental account invalid + Xbox Signup unavailable.


    Ok so I had just gotten a 12 month xbox live gold pass yesterday then after about 6 hours when I sign back into my account after turning my xbox off I suddenly am unable to access xbox live without making a parent acount change. So I do and when i fill in
    all the info for a parent account i'm told that xbox sign up is unavailable. Please help me.

    I turned my xbox on and was told my parental account was invalid, so I went to re-enter the email and password, accepted the terms and then was told that signup is currently unavailable. Please help! I also get an error when I try to view my account and
    profile on xbox.com. I have seen other threads on this topic, some recent, some dating back to 2007, please fix this issue.

    Xbox live parent account invalid

    Hey I've had an xbox live account for close to 5 years now as a minor. My parent account has never been invalid that entire time up until the past two or so weeks. When i go through the steps to create a new parent account or whatever its trying to get me
    to do i fill everything out and it always says "Xbox Live signup is currently unavailable. Please try again later." Now I'm sure a huge company like microsoft wouldn't leave their sign up service down for multiple weeks and I've actually made another account
    so and used a 7 day trial that came with cod Ghosts so i could actually play with my friends. So considering all this the whole "Xbox Live signup is currently unavailable." message sounds like complete crap. please fix this soon.

    Xbox Parent Account is not valid.

    I have the same problem though when I put the details of the new parent account in and go to accept the terms of privacy and stuff it says "the xbox live signup server is unavailable"----- how might I troubleshoot this error?

    Has anyone had this issue resolved? And if so, how did how did you fix it? I have the save issue where after I try to accept the T&C's it says that signup is unavailable. Contacted support many times with little to no help at all, most of them didn't even
    understand the problem to begin with.

    Hi all,

    In the absence of a proper long-term official fix for this (at least that we could find for you), some of the Ambassadors have found a short-term workaround. It's not an ideal situation, but it should get you all up and gaming while the larger issue is resolved
    properly.

    It is as follows:

    1. At the error message, short press the Xbox button which will return you to the dashboard.
    2. Start a game as usual.
    3. When the game prompts you to connect to Live, enter your details but do not select "Remember password".
    4. Short press the Xbox button when the error appears to return to the game.
    Let us know if that works for you too (it has for others), and if not, what you are seeing happening.

    Ok, you might need to contact the support for this in order that they can take a look on the account.

    Possible scenario would be an escaltion on this

    Thanks Lillith, but that didn't really help :( I can sign in on the website without a problem, and there's no way my parent closed his account as he never payed attention to it and I needed to remember his password for him, and I most certainly didn't close
    his account.
