    Hi there

    I am having trouble linking a parent account to a child account therefore my child account with xbox live gold can't play most games. When trying to link them an error message pops up on the screen and says try again but after an hour or so I don't know
    wat else I am supposed to do

    To answer your first question, I highly suggest following
    this guide.     For your case, it is pure gold.

    As for your second question, I believe you will be able to remove the password once you upgrade your child account to an adult account.

    On the console, press the guide button.

    Navigate twice to the right, and click on Family Settings

    Click on off.

    If you mean the menu is locked out where you change that, you may want to call Microsoft Support again.
