Parent of account removal.

Hello does anyone have any idea how to remove a parent of an account? My account us restricted by a parent and I have no access to the parent account or any way to contact yh3 owner.

Hey, Judge Bergan. Thanks for the info. I did recently contact support. The response i got from them was that they did not have the power to remove the parental account. They suggested going to the forums.

Regarding the parental account info. I do have the old email. I am however unable to recover the password.

If possible i don't even need the account removed. I just need to be elevated to Adult status.

There is an option on the Parent Account to remove a child from the parent account, but I'm not sure of a way to attach it to a different parent account.

be sure to check who the parent is of the other child account. because if the parent accnt is not yours you first need to remove that child account from the parent accnt by signing in with the parent account and going into the family settings and removing
him. once removed he should be able to be added to your family. or try using the child accnts parent credentials to add to the family pack.

I'm sorry. Not sure if i made it clear. But i only know the Email. I do not know any of the other information associated with the account. I have sent in a recovery form with what i think to be the info. However chances are very slim that i will get the
account. Don't think i would have made a post here if i had not already tried everything else.

Is it not simple enough to just promote the account to adult? Once 18 i should be able to do anything i want with the account.

Hey scotty, you can try contacting support over the phone, but I don't know what can be done if you don't know any of the "parental" information. Perhaps they can manually promote you, of that I do not know. You can also try contacting an official support
rep about this online or over the phone by going here:

You didn't indicate that you had already attempted to promote the account. It doesn't do anyone any good to be hostile - especially when they are trying to help. Plenty of people come to the forums and ask questions without having done any troubleshooting.

If the birthday that was registered states you are under 18, there is no way to remove a parent account without parental account information. If you are part of a Family pack, you will be treated as a child. Promoting yourself will remove you from the Family
and remove the Gold subscription. If the system is just being weirdly glitchy, the Microsoft Account team might be the one to check with. You can start a chat with them here:
