Parent / Child Transfer Account Information on XBOX One

If you want to start using the child profile and want his gold to carry over though, you can share that gold with it by signing into his original gamertag and enabling home console sharing as outlined in our support article entitled

I am afraid it is not possible to transfer anything between accounts

Hey Tyler,

The thing is, if you designate the Xbox as the new child account's home console, then the Gold will not be shared, because that new account does not have Gold.

At this point, if your son wants to keep his gamertag/progress and you want to use that Gold you already set up, I would just make sure that you're signed into the account he normally uses and edit his privacy and online safety, set content restrictions
and set up a passkey to be asked for whenever someone tries to change those settings.

Privacy and online safety
can be found by going to Settings> Account> Privacy & online safety. It covers things like if people can see your child's activity, if they can see things that other people have made, and which kind of players they can communicate with.
These settings have optional child defaults you can choose as well to make things easier or you can customize it's setup how you want.

You can then also restrict the account from playing games out of their age range by going to
Settings> Account> Content restrictions.

Once you have the account setup with new restrictions you wanted, then you'll want to prevent those settings from being changed without your permission. This can be done by creating an Xbox One passkey. It's a pin you can set up by following the steps here

Create an Xbox One passkey. Make one and then set it up to be asked for whenever someone attempts to change it by following the steps here on Require
a passkey for purchases on your Xbox One console.

Set it up like that and then you can basically forget that extraneous child account.

You can't transfer data like the between accounts. But you can change the email associated with accounts. You may just want to put the existing account on a new email that's theirs
