    Parent account not valid


    I removed myself from the family account. When I tried to sign in to my account on my console it said that the parent account was not valid and that I needed to create a new one. After I created the new parent account and tried to sign in it said that Xbox
    Live sign up is unavailable. Please try again later. Can someone please help me?????

    As of yesterday it has gotten worse!!

    If that is even possible!!

    Now using ipads, on the same wifi network, my son cannot join my worlds.

    He gets this error message:

    Parent account not valid [​IMG]

    I CAN join his worlds, but he can join mine!!

    Is there anyone I can contact to sort this out???

    this message claims something in the setting is preventing it - but everyone says the settings are fine!!

    What a disaster - 4 months and no resolution.

    I understand this isn’t the

    “just fix it” resolution you were hoping for,

    I just see this as a "cop out" - minecraft PE has an option to "BROADCAST TO XBOX Live"

    Why have it if it doesn't work??

    I cannot understand why it used to work, but now it doesn't.

    All the tools and options are there for it to work as it used to, but it appears they'r just too lazy to solve the problem that they caused themselves!!

    I have reached out to MOJANG, but expect they're going to say it's XBOX live issue.

    Add and update the security info for your Microsoft account

    • Go to Manage your security info and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Select Add New under Phone number or under Alternate email address.
    • Follow the instructions to set up and confirm the new proof.
    • If you already have a proof on your account, you might need to use that proof to verify the addition of a new proof.
      Note Proofs can be added to new accounts without validation for a short period. Existing accounts will need to have their proofs validated by using an existing proof.
    • If you’re unable to access any of your current proofs (such as a phone number you don’t recognize or an expired email account), see Get

    I have already tried this... but it is still saying that Xbox live sign up is unavailable.... I have even cleared the system's cache... I don't know what else to do Parent account not valid :(

    Really sorry to hear the frustrations, at this point it seems that both us and Global Support have exhausted our troubleshooting with this. Let's get you in contact with the
    Minecraft Support team, as this appears to be an issue with the game itself. Please keep us in the loop with what they say. Thanks a ton for your patience and understanding. Really want to see
    this resolved for you and I understand how frustrating it is.

    When I use a workaround that used to work... That is invite him even though there's no 1 in the friends tab, he gets this message

    I have checked and rechecked all his and my settings, they all say he should be able to do this.

    Sorry to hear you're still having troubles. So that we can best help out, can you provide screenshots what you're seeing on both your Xbox 360 and iPads? Thanks!

    I am also experiencing the same issue with my sons account.

    When we sign in with his account on the Xbox 360 it displays the message "Your parents Microsoft account isn't valid". Meanwhile everything works fine on the Xbox One.

    I've also contacted support and they couldn't see anything wrong with both accounts.

    This seems to be an issue with the Xbox 360 and the way it checks the accounts and not really an issue with the accounts themselves.

    If you look at the "Friends" tab, there is no numeral "1" like the next pic.

    We only see the "1" when we are on the same wifi network, but we used to be able to see it when we were on different wifi networks, but both logged into xboxlive

    Unfortunately the current best option would to use entirely new accounts. Our teams are working to clear this up ASAP, but we'll be sure to reach out when we have more details.

    Thanks for the reply, but that solution is quite ridiculous.

    Who is to say the same won't happen to the new ones?

    I've been contacted by the global team who finally admit it is a problem that they know about, but have no clue how to fix

    Apparently it started in Japan with users, now slowly spreading across the globe....

    In the futile attempts to "fix" this I've lost more even functionality

    Hopefully they can fix this soon, as it's now been far too long 4 weeks ago!

    The much advertised "keeping kids safe online" is partially true if they can't play online in the first place!!!!

    I regret now setting up his account as a child.

    But apparently you can't change it now.

    A new account needs a new email address etc.

    Still very frustrated...
