Paper weight or Media Console?

It seems remarkably ironic that after the Xbox One X launch my system basically has no use now, I cannot use my home button as all it does is turn the screen darker. Now I can not sign into a profile to access apps or play games making the entire device
useless. Thank you for your updates pushing lifelong fans towards shopping with the competitors now.

I go to play infinite warfare on my xbox one s a couple days ago only to find that my console wont power on. I know that my console is shortly out of warranty but i call microsoft anyway becase the consol has maybe 25 hours of play time on it, is never
used for movies, tv or apps. Games only! And yet here it sits, completly usless. Microsoft refuses to repair the console unless i pay $150+. I understand that people abuse and neglect their consoles. I also know that the techs can tell if this is the case
when they look at the console. I even told them that if they received it and saw that it was abused i would pay for the repair. No dice. They refused to stand behind their product without more money. I, like most people cannot afford to go to best buy and
pay to replace a console after a year of light use. Nor can i afford to pay 2/3rds of the cost of a new one for them to fix what shouldnt have broken. J have been an xbox live customer for years but no longer. Im very disspaointed in the way microsoft handled
this and cannot afford to pay the high price for their products when the longevity nor customer service is there when something gos wrong. R.I.P Microsoft

This seems to be an issue that is growing as I hear about it daily now. I wonder if it was an update?

Did you try resetting your console by holding the power button on the console for a full 10 seconds until it turns off? Turn it back on and try again.
