Pandora black screen after a few songs

The new Xbox One Pandora app seems to run well for a few minutes, but at the end of 3-4 songs, rather than transitioning to the next tune, the screen goes black and audio stops. The app appears to still run and I can navigate away from it.

Quitting the app from my home screen (via the controller menu button), then restarting gets it running again, but it consistently goes dark & quiet again after a few songs.

I've checked all settings on my TV & receiver to ensure neither of them are going into sleep/eco mode. And as I mentioned, the Xbox is still "on" and I can snap, return home, switch apps, etc.

Pandora playing on XB1 - goes to black screen after song

Recently Pandora has stopped playing after one songs and is going to black screen. It is now happening about every one song. If you hit the xbox button you can return to the main screen and quit Pandora then re-start it, then 1 song and black screen.
If I hit the A button the next song plays but the screen stays black , then after song stops again etc. I have uninstalled Pandora twice both rebooting the XB1, which takes a little bit, then re-installing. Same issue. I do not have any issues playing
Pandora on PC or via phone. I am using the same XB1 ID that I always have. Any ideas on this one?

Pandora when I launch it it has a black screen after it says Pandora and then it’s like that every time when i close the app and open it, it still does it. Does anyone have a solution.

 

This same thing is happening to me. The Pandora app will only play for maybe 20-30 minutes before blacking out and going silent. All other apps continue to function normally, and I can still use the xbox. Quitting the Pandora App and restarting it does
fix it.

It is a shame since I have been anticipating the Pandora app for so long.

 

You can hit A, if you left it on the pause, to continue, and it was great to find it being smart and auto-dimming while sitting on Pandora, but the fact it locks the app to be black AND stops automatically playing for a good while (stopping automatically
after a good long while like your mobile app or inside the web so they don't play endlessly to nothingness) just ruins it.

After all, I was planning on having my TV play the music rather than plug my headphones into my tablet and then go to sleep but, if I have to wake a bit up to hit A? That won't do.

 

I'm seeing this issue as well. Only thing i can do is go back to the home screen and kill the app and restart.

 

Having the same issue, but backing out doesn't work for me. i have had to uninstall then reinstall the app only to get it working again only to have the same result. Strange, as it's worked fine over the past week that I've had it, running for hours on end.

 

Same thing is happening to me. I've tried uninstalling it several times and rebooting then fresh installs and it still only plays 2-3 songs then stops with a black screen. So frustrating!

 

Same thing here! I have to constantly quit the app and reload. Sad.

 

Yeah this happens after a few songs hope, they see this and update fix this smh.

 

The A Button trick is now working for me as today as well, but I still have nothing but a black screen. Sad that I can't get a response from Pandora as to what the issue is. Would be nice if someone at Microsoft had an answer.

 

I have to correct myself. The A button trick worked for me, but only for a few songs. Music stopped and the screen stayed black. This needs to be corrected ASAP as I had planned to use this feature this evening when I had guests over for a little pre-new
years party gathering.

 

Getting the same thing, screen goes black!! Just got xbox one a couple days ago and I'm ready to throw it away.

 

Same issue here. Been going on for a few days. I can only assume the problem lies on their end.

 

I think that the Pandora app was released on the 18th of December. Has this issue been occurring since then, or only since yesterday when this thread started? I'm having the same issue.
