Panasonic TV will not switch on with "XBOX ON" command

Hi.

I have a Panasonic TX-37LZD80 TV and connected it to the XB One via HDMI.

I have configured the XBOX to turn on with voice commands and checked that it will also turn on and off my TV.

However, when turning the XB on by either voice command, controller or on the main unit the TV power light flashes a few times but does not turn on.

When I turn the XB One off, it also turns the TV off correctly. Mute and volume commands also work as expected.

I have tried various other suggestions in similar posts but none of these have worked.

Strangely, if the TV has just been turned off and the XB is turned on, it will also turn the TV on. It's almost like the 'power on' signal is not there for long enough or strong enough.

Has anyone else been able to fix this?

Xbox one S with Panasonic DX780 no HDR

Awesome, thanks so much for this, Changing the setting to Mode 2 fixed it for me on my Panasonic TV.

 

HDMI CEC

Question is: does Xbox One it support HDMI CEC? I expect that Xbox One "turn on" command should turn on TV, AV receiver, switch input on TV, switch input on AV receiver and do that automatically via HDMI CEC.

IR blaster thinks that it can blast the same way you do it on remote. And it doesn't work that way. For example, on Panasonic TX-P42G20 it requires several (4-5) blasts to turn on TV to prevent accidental turning on. Xbox one blasts only once. Of course
mute command works.

How you can be "in the center of living room" if you cannot control equipment.

 

I'm pretty sure as with my Panasonic, to switch the tv on you need to HOLD down the a button for about 2 secs, because of this I don't think the Xbox one knows to send a continuous signal long enough to turn the tv on

 

My Panasonic tv turns on, (Used it with my PS3 back in the days) There is a setting in my TV's settings/setup called Vierra Link you have to turn on. Hope you find that option, but if you already have it on I have no idea

Saxo Appeal - you are correct, I also have to press the power button for a second or two for the TV to power on. I was hoping for a fix in the March update, sadly this wasn't the case

Just wanted to close this problem off. It appears that since the 1406 update preview the Panny now turns on and off as expected with the xbox one.

Thank you Microsoft and to the guys who responded to my initial question.

Now though I have my eye on a new Sony 55" tellybox. Hopefully that "xbox on" command will work out the box
