    Panasonic Plasma shuts itself off


    Hey guys, hopefully you can help me out. After after my TV on for a couple hours, sometimes longer, it will shut itself off, usually when I'm playing a video game. I checked the settings and I don't have a timer set or anything. It's about 3 years
    old. Model number is TC-P42U2. Does it shut off if it get's too hot or is there a more serious issue going on?

    Yeah, I think the Overscanning Feature, is a default for Panasonic TV's.. Even on my older Panasonic Plasma etc..

    Pioneer Plasmas are no longer the kinds of plasma. The only edge they have over Panasonic is black level and its negligible.

    Sadly, Panasonic has stopped making plasmas as they were losing money on them. I agree with Dukes that the Samsung plasma is the way to go.
