pal games on ntsc console

hi,

bought "just dance" 2016 for my daughter.

the game is in PAL format. I bought ntsc console in the U.S a while ago.

the games does not run because of region incomaptability.

is there anyway to overcome the problem?

it's my daughter birthday today, don't want to disappoint her.

Unable to purchase FIFA 15

Also for FIFA and other region specific games

Using a pal console in a NTSC region account won't work as its looking for pal content on an ntsc region

However fifa cannot be downloaded outside their regions also

So you need a pal account

Playing Japanese Xbox 360 games on US console

Usually japanese games dont play on a us console, we are ntsc based so if a japanese disc has pal any where on it, that would be a no go. NTSC and PAL are different region based games and can be applied to consoles or discs.

US=NTSC Europe=PAL

NTSC vs. PAL is a hardware based issue. There is nothing that can be done other than for you to purchase an NTSC version of the game. Sorry.

Region locking is software, not hardware, all Xbox 360s regardless of where they were purchased are identical, save for the firmware that runs inside of its DVD drives, and the region of the dashboard software. Microsoft chose to lock the Xbox 360 to its
respective regions. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do.

Irixion, NTSC vs PAL is not a region locking issue. There are fundamental differences between the two such as frame rates and standards for color correction. You are talking about regions which is a completely different thing. Region locking is software,
NTSC vs PAL is hardware.

I did say region locking is a software issue. :v Consoles in either region are capable, on a hardware level to output at either 50 or 60 Hz, it's the software that decides which region they're in. The discs themselves are region locked, they themselves don't
carry any data for what frame rate to output at; the console decides.

tl;dr, region locking is ridiculous and I'm glad it's making its way out with gaming.

yes darksouls is PAL and NTSC specific so downloading a NTSC content from the US wont work on a PAL console (found on the back of your console)

there is no alternative

pal/ntsc content is based on the region of the account since PAL isn't needed in NTSC regions

Usually consoles and games in the US are made for NTSC and in the UK they are coded for PAL. Unless the disc is region free, NTSC discs will only work on a NTSC console and PAL will only work on PAL.

It sounds like the disc you got is not region free, so it will not work on your console.

When it comes to the Xbox 360, it's always best to go for the correct format for the console. So if the console is a PAL console, buy PAL games, and the same for NTSC console, go for NTSC games.

You would need to buy the game on disc that has the correct region code for your console. (NTSC for NTSC or PAL for PAL).
