Pairing issue with controller when powering on

    Hi

Is Microsoft going to address the issue on the series X with the console losing the paring of the controler sometimes when trying to power on via the controler.

imagine for just a second that you talking to a someone who knows to check the battries, & who has also used a cable (not included) and have also used other controlers.

rather than going through the check sheet please ask one of the enginers who designed the unit if they are working on a software patch.

    Kind Regards

    Zander

    :)

Xbox one controller on AndroidTV disconnects/unpairs after reboot or sleep

Your welcome, I just thought it was an issue worth addressing. Most controllers work with it so I was hoping my favorite controller would as well!

I do not have the same issue when connecting to my windows 10 PC. Once paired it will always connect after I turn on the controller. However in my testing I did find one issue (which may be related?). When the controller is paired and connected, and i power
cycle my computer while leaving the controller turned on, the controller does not connect once the computer reboots. It just stays in a "slow flash" until i then power cycle the controller, then it connects.

Unable to connect XBOX wireless controller via Bluetooth to PC

Hi there! This is Virginia O.

I understand that you are experiencing issues connecting your Bluetooth controller to your PC.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please update drivers. To do this, open Device Manager on your PC.

Locate your Bluetooth adapter and Xbox controller under "Bluetooth" or "Other Devices."

Right-click and select "Update Driver" for both.

And then remove and re-pair the controller by going to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices.

Remove the Xbox controller from the list of paired devices.

Press and hold the pairing button on the controller until the Xbox button flashes rapidly, then try pairing again.

Next is to reset the controller. Hold the Xbox button and the sync button on the controller for about 10 seconds to reset it. Then attempt to pair it again.

Then check bluetooth power settings. Open Device Manager and find your Bluetooth adapter.

Right-click, select "Properties," and go to the Power Management tab.

Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

After that is to connect the controller via USB to your PC and open the Xbox Accessories app. Check for firmware updates for the controller because the device works well when it is up to date.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly test on another device by connecting the controller to another Bluetooth-enabled device (like a phone) to rule out hardware issues. This will help determine if the issue is with the headset of the PC itself.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    XBox One Controller on PC

    Hi guys,

I was able to sync my xbox one controller to my Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth, however when I go to turn it on now to play a game on PC, it powers on my XBox. Any way around this or do I need to have a separate controller for each platform?
You would either need a seperate controller for the PC not synced to the xbox, or just live with the pairing. If you pair your controller with the USB wireless dongle it would force the pair to the dongle instead of the console. But then you would be require
to re-pair the controller to the console when you wanted to use it there as well.

Re-pair the controller may fix that. Or power cycle the console.

    Headset not powered

Hey Raz. I had the same issues. I looked at this post not too long ago and decided to come back if I ever figured it out.

Let's make sure our problems are equally related..

When I plug my headset into my controller / it's as if the controller wasn't powering the headset (No Orange Light) And maybe I thought it could be the Xbox not actually sending some sort of data to REALIZE the headset was plugged in.

    Try this...

take out batteries from Xbox Controller. at least 5 Minutes - 10 Minutes.

Then, RE-PAIR the Controller and the Xbox. Ex: Press the "Pair" Button on the Controller and the "Pair Button" On the Xbox.

Try this 1-3 Times. To Ensure you Re- Paired them.

After that plug in the headset wait 3-5 seconds then tap the mute button so it makes one "click' when you attempt to see if its working..

It worked for me. Crazy to think all I had to do was re-pair the two. Hope this helped.
