Pairing and swapping YouTube on XBOne from a PC freezing up

Just like the title says, I have been having issues with this.

Trying to use either a Surface Pro /WIn 8.1 tab or my Win7 Laptop (taking a stab here..this issue seems to coincide with the latest update) when I attempt to swap, it just sits frozen with the title at the 0:00 frame of my video that I have chosen to display
thru the app. Sometimes it will seem to start, but then it just freezes. Sometimes with the circle spinning on TV screen...sometimes I do not see the circle at all and it acts like the command is not being received.

I have even tried to re-try pairing, and I have even signed out and in of my youtube account, and booted and unplugged my Xbox and get the same results.

Hopefully an issue that can be look into and updated soon. This really an awesome and I think under rated feature for the One that should be made more well known.

Saving a paired connection with youtube on Xbox One

One thing you could check, As I was having the same problem is to,

sign in to the same google/youtube account on both the xbox one and your pc or tablet before pairing

then the pairing should stay

if you don't its only a temp pair

Youtube and Netflix Cast no longer functions

Thanks for the response! Pairing the apps does work for Youtube, so that's better. Netflix doesn't seem to have a similar pairing method available, so I'm still at a loss for that.

Before, the Xbox showed up on anyone's phone connected to the same wifi network without the need for pairing. Pairing works, but it is a bit of a pain if a guest wants to through a Youtube video on the screen.

I'm using a Nexus 6 with Android 5.1. The others in my house are all using android as well (4.4 and 4.3) and having the same issue.

 

Nevermind. Fixed the problem.
