paired xbox one controller won't reconnect

this error comes from the bluetooth device, what can be done is to buy an official microsoft kit with the receiver for the control

The original Xbox 360 controllers do not support traditional Bluetooth and as such won't pair. To pair a Xbox 360 controller you will need to purchase an adapter that you plug into your PC. The official one, I believe, can still be ordered on Amazon.

If you want to just straight up pair a controller to a PC without the need for an adapter, recent Xbox One controllers use normal Bluetooth and would pair without issue - https://www.pcgamer.com/xbox-one-controller-on-pc/ will
tell you how to spot which ones will support this as the original Xbox One controllers don't.

make sure your controller is updated by going to accessories on xbox. if it is updated remove all connected blooth devices. press the button to pair your controller to your phone and select your controller. the reason you controllers want to pair is that
usually, it connected to the phone already and trying to reconnect.

Just spent almost 100$ on a pair of turtle beaches and still won't work. Obviously a controller or xbox one issue.

is anyone having issues where the controllers are constantly disconnecting from the xbox one and then won't reconnect? We got this same console and the controllers disconnect every few days and to get them to reconnect we have to unplug the xbox for 20
seconds then reconnect it. using the connect buttons on the controller/console does nothing for some reason (no issues like this on the regular xbox one we have). very disappointing.
