Does anyone know if you can bring paints from previous forza titles to xbox one?

Missing cars

Have you actually seen what the Paint Editor is capable of in Forza 4? Obviously not. You can also re-paint ANY vehicle whatever color you want using the Paint Editor.

 

Face Paint

Anybody know if this is going to be part of a black ops 2? I haven't heard anyone talking about it even though I know it's not that important.

 

You cannot import paints from previous Forza titles into FM5.

 

Oh well. I was hoping not to start all over again. Guess I'll have to make new ones

 

I never understood why, from version to version, they didn't at least allow you to bring in vinyls. I can see not allowing entire liveries, since the geometry/UV mapping of the cars is probably different from version to version and things wouldn't line
up, but (in theory) vinyls can be placed on any car...so there must be another reason. *shrugs*

 

@Trippul - In FM4 you could import paints from FM3. I'm pretty sure that you could import FM4 paints into Horizon. This only stopped with FM5 since we're on a new generation of consoles. I'd be willing to bet that we'll be able to import FM5 paints into
Horizon 2 on Xbox One.

What I MEANT to say was that I'm GLAD that they've always allowed us to import paints from version to version...it's a brilliant feature that I've clearly gotten LOTS of use out of!

No, you cannot... sorry. I had lots of vinyl groups on FM4, but I can't import them. At least I have not found a way.

 

You cannot import them due to the console difference mentioned above . A friend found a way to re-create them , but to me it sounds very time consuming . What he does is to take each vinyl , break it down into it's parts , writes down the dimensions , co-ordinates
, color , etc. and then signs into forza 5 and uses the written info to remake the each vinyl . The paint job for the car gets the same treatment , with the co-ordinates of each vinyl being recorded from forza4 , then transferred to forza5. His commitment
far outweighs mine .

 

I hear that. I'm just gonna go back and post pics onto the Forza site. The paints may not be as cool as I remember them and my skills have improved a bit so I may as well start all over. But at least the pics will be there.
