Paid for xbox one live on my computer but cant play multiplayer

I have paid for Xbox one live on my family account so it should go to all my accounts but i tried playing a multiplayer game (call of duty advanced warfare) but it just brings up a "buy Xbox live" page and when i exit or try going to the store for the game
it says i'm not allowed to do that, it wont even let me get the free game of the month and it happens on other games to like warframe and always says i'm not connected to Xbox live

paid for xbox gold and its not working?

ok so ive just paid £40 for xbox live gold 12 months on my account on the computer. But my xbox isnt identifying the fact that i have paid and i can not use my xbox gold. some one help??

Can you use xbox live on both 360 and xbox one

im seriously thinking to get a xbox one on launch and will of course transfer my live account but will that mean i cant go on my xbox live account on my 360 as for sure will still wanna play halo and gears multiplayer

Gold is required to play online. Xbox live multiplayer is a paid service.

To play online multiplayer games you always need a paid membership in xbox live. For more info:

I purchased an Xbox One this weekend and I paid for the CODMW disc at store. I set my console up and popped disc in. It started installing and downloading all sorts of updates for game. After 4 hours it was done but the only thing it will allow
me to play is Warzone. If I try to play the campaign or multiplayer it tells me I have to purchase it and gives me 2 options to do so on xbox live. Any suggestions. I cant return the disc to store because I opened it and I dont want to pay the $40 for something
I already paid for.

U might not have the add ons installed.

I am not getting an error code at all. it just says connect to xbox live. Everything says my internet is hooked up and good to go!! ! phones and computer work fine but no xbox live

Same exact problem I am having with both my account on my xbox and daughters account on her xbox.

Sign in problem is NOT fixed. No error code but can't connect to xbox live. Network test is fine, all other devices get internet service. Multiplayer test says try again. Of course cant play any downloaded games because cant verify account.
