    A simple issue. I bought a month of xbox live gold earlier today, but logging onto my account, it says that I'm still only silver. I've already paid, so what gives?

    Paid for Gold but still Silver

    Just purchased a gold sub for £39.99 via xbox.com. My profile page on the website now says i'm Gold; excellent.

    I then switch on my Xbox and it says i am on an xbox live free account. I go to "Manage Account", "Your Memberships" and confusingly it says i am a Gold member.

    I tried signing in and out but that didn't work. Tried downloading the Rage demo but got taken to an "upgrade to gold " screen. Can't play online because i need to go gold. But i AM a Gold member.

    Please help.

    did you redeem it on the console or on the website, try doing either a speed test or download your profile again either of those should speed up the process good luck!
