    paid for a full year of xbox live gold and im not getting it


    worst support ive ever heard of, i had changed the card on that account over 2 months before they even attempted to charge it and they charged it to an old payment option. account was suspended 3-4 days and i paid for 365 it is only fair i receive
    all of the days that is all i asked. Never been treated that way in all of my life, i realize it was a trivial amount of days but i want what i paid for! so ill leave this transcript for you guys.....

    matthew: i checked transactions literally last night and it said i had purchased it and it would be available until march 2016. then i check it right after you told me to and now it doesnt say that anymore

    matthew: looks as though you are correct now. i tried to purchase again lastnight and it told me i already had it also

    Jeff P: What I can do here is to switch the gold membership into your new card, and I will also remove the old card from your account, sounds good?

    matthew: what is the reason that i was able to play for the 2 months after march. and will my account start from today or march? if march then i feel i should be compensated for the week it was suspended and i will not get
    that time back

    Jeff P: Yes, you will be able to play online even if the card has been declined for the first time. This will give you an extended time to update the payment instrument into your account. Which means that you will be able to play for free
    even if your card has been decline for the first time. If the extended time has ended and the payment instrument has not been updated yet, then the gold membership will be temporarily suspended.

    matthew: so going back to my original question, does my membership start today or when it tried to renew in march

    Jeff P: It started on March when it has been renewed.

    matthew: so then who is going to pay me back for the week it was suspended? no one once told me it didnt go through and i updated my payment information over a month ago

    Jeff P: You did received emails that you need to update your payment instrument, right?

    matthew: no i didnt receive any emails? i have logged on to my account numerous times on my computer and xbox and never once saw a message either

    matthew: i also updated my payment information over a month ago. how else do you think that 0525 card got there?

    matthew: also it isnt "playing for free" if you start my year membership in march, i payed for that time

    Jeff P: I do understand you here Matthew. But the payment did not went through because the card is still attached to your gold membership and it can be switched to your new card in commerce.microsoft.com to
    make sure that the card is updated as well.

    Jeff P: When you first encountered that your xbox live gold membership is not working properly may I know if you checked your account or contact us about this matter?

    matthew: yes i went out of town this weekend and contacted you when i got back (today) i changed my card over a month ago and made 0525 the primary account on my xbox live through my xbox. if this does not update your system
    that is not my fault

    matthew: so i guess thats 4 days without it. so i payed for a year and recieved only 360 days

    matthew: doesnt matter i payed for the days even if my xbox isnt on

    matthew: also i have a confirmation email that my xbox live was successfully renewed on march 14 if you would like it forwarded

    Jeff P: I checked on your transactions and it showed that an email has been sent to you when the system detected the old card has been declined. Have you checked your Spam folder as well?

    matthew: all my emails get sent to [Mod Removed] because i updated the email that i want notifications at. it is not my fault if your system decided to send it to my old
    address. they have been being sent to the m.kyle email since march 5th

    Jeff P: I do understand you here, Matthew. Yes, you paid for the 365 days but you where not online to check if there will be any issues.

    matthew: even if it was my fault, you dont have the right to take away 4 days from myt account so i dont understand the issue

    matthew: i followed all troubleshooting, i checked that my account information was correct and on my xbox it showed 0525 as the card. i restarted my router because that is always the first thing yall say, i unplugged my
    xbox for more than 30 seconds, i delted my gamertag from my xbox and then put it back on, i checked online on my microsoft account and it said that nothing was wrong, i went out of town, got back last nigfht went to work today and contacted you now

    matthew: so we have 2 options, i recieve a code for a trial xbox, or you move the date that my membership starts up four days

    Jeff P: Yes, that is the normal procedure when there is something wrong with an account. However, the card needs to be switched to the gold membership because the old card is still attached to gold membership which means that it will still
    try to charge the old account which is already declining. If that happens, then you need to contact us for this matter.

    matthew: no one told me that happen. NO ONE and even if it did WHO CARES i just paid you for a whole year. and now my account wont be active for a whole year it will be 4 days less

    Jeff P: I do understand that Matthew. However, the 4 days that you are mentioning have not been used. Now, if you where able to check if the issue is still occurring before going out of town, then we would be able to process switching the
    card to your gold membership.

    Other subscriptions available are 1 month ($9.99 / month), and 3 months ($24.99 / per every 3 months paid in full).

    [/quote]Sorry but this is incorrect. Any Method of Payment for Xbox LIVE will have Tenure added after each year. I've had CC for two years and Pre-Paid for three years, showing the Tenure of 5. Even if a Pre-paid of three months
    is used for over a year (or a one month if still available) it will show Tenure.

    The Tenure shows after the Year is up and a new year is paid for. Sorry but you must have either started in 2009 or have had a lapse in time that did not count as a Silver Profile. In addition, the first Month Free Xbox LIVE that everyone is given does not
    apply to Tenure. So if an Account was created in December 2008 it won't reflect 1 year Tenure until January 2010.

    Sorry to hear your upset. However, any billing issue must be dealt with through phone support.

    As for losing time due to a suspension, there is nothing that can be done for that. Upon a suspension, whether it be for an enforcement or billing action, you lose the amount of time on a Gold membership that the suspension existed. The is stated in the
    ToU and CoC that you agreed to upon signing up for Live.

    As for losing time due to a suspension, there is nothing that can be done for that. Upon a suspension, whether it be for an enforcement or billing action, you lose the amount of time on a Gold membership that the suspension existed. The is stated in the
    ToU and CoC that you agreed to upon signing up for Live.

    I have never paid full price for Xbox Live Gold. I always shop the sales. I think the cheapest I ever got a subscription was $29. I have not actually paid for my gold in almost 2 years because of Microsoft Rewards.
