    Packet Loss Xbox Series X


    I've seen several of these posts and cannot seem to find a solution.

    The only thing that fixes the issue is unplugging the Xbox for a few minutes and plugging it back in.

    We have tried new routers, new ports, turning off ipv6 and even ran a quality Ethernet through the wall thinking that was the problem.

    The only thing that stops my packet loss from happening is unplugging the Xbox, leaving it unplugged and then plugging it back in.

    This leads me to believe there is something wrong the Ethernet card/port to some degree, as I do not know what else it could be.

    Is there any type of warranty for the Xbox?

    Especially the Series X?

    It's a little ridiculous that my old Xbox has zero problems on the same exact port/Ethernet cord/game/etc but the expensive Series X can't seem to work correctly.

    I do not want to call my bank and charge back the amount as it's just going to hurt the local GameStop rather than Microsoft, so what can we do?

    I will charge back if I have to, but I would like to find a solution to this before I take it out on my local GameStop that has nothing to do with it.

    I have a 100% packet loss with a wired connection on my series x and I can't figure out why or how to fix it any suggestions?

    I am having the same issue. Both hard wire and wireless, I am having 100% packet loss. I have contacted my internet provider, they have already checked the system and on there end everything is great. On my PC I am having no issues. On my PS5 no issues, no packet loss. However on my xbox series x and my xbox one x, I have 100% packet loss and get booted from online games every 3-6 mins.

    I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing packet loss on your Xbox Series X. If you've already tried different routers, ports, and Ethernet cables, it's possible that there may be a hardware related issue.



    Regarding the warranty, the Xbox Series X comes with a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. If you believe your console is experiencing a hardware issue, you can contact Xbox Support to initiate a warranty claim. They will be able to assist you with the process and provide further troubleshooting steps if necessary.

    Before initiating a warranty claim, you may also want to try resetting your console to its factory settings. This can sometimes resolve network issues. To do this, go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset console > Reset and keep my games & apps.

    Oh. I am glad that it has now been fixed. Most probably it was an ISP issue if bad weather affected it. Hopefully everything will be fine from now on.
