Packet loss and lag

Ok, so I have this weird and really really frustrating problem, and I know I'm not the only one, I've seen people having this problem, but I haven't seen an aswer that solved my problem yet. So I've been getting a packet loss between 1%-17% and I lag
ingame. It really is annoying since I'm trying to play competetively and this makes it literally impossible. I also think that the problem is with my console because I get no lag, no packet loss on my computer nor my Xbox 360. I have a 80/10 internet connection
and even when my Xbox says I have 70/9 I tend to get like a 15% packet loss. Like wtf?! I've literally tried everything: multiple routers, reset my Xbox to factory defaults, DMZ, switched up the ethernet cables etc etc and nothing works. I would love to have
a solution for this, because this kills my gaming. Also how can I confirm that the problem is with my Xbox? I am pretty certain about that it is my Xbox but I want to be a 100% sure. I do need to take my it to one of my friends to check it on a different connection
though. And if ut really is my Xbox do I need to send it back to Microsoft? Oh by the way this started happening like a couple of months ago, and now I always lag.

party chat will not work

the packet loss is new it started a while ago but according to xbox its on there part and it should be fixed once they sort the packet loss but the thing is i was playing with the 100% packet loss and no problems but then a lag spike happend and even when
fixed i can only party chat for about 10 seconds

 

Does internet speed affect how you play?

Download and Upload speed do less than you think. You barley require a decent up/down to play. The biggest components are PING and Packet Loss. Packet Loss causes rubberbanding in games and PING is the latency of your connection to theirs. High PING means
a High Packet Loss (or Jitter leads to Packet Loss too) and what is known as Lag. I have a 20Mb/s download and as long as you and me have the same PING, your 1.6Mb/s download is no different for gaming.

 

Alright, never mind guys I also have lag on my Xbox 360 so next step is contacting my ISP. I don't know what they can do about packet loss... Do you guys know what might be causing it?

 

The lag on my 360 might have been from the actual host. I don't even know anymore. lol

Yeah I've been playing BO2 for like 2 hours now and I only lagged in one game. Sorry for the lot of posts I'm just tryna provide as much information as I can.

 

I live in Hungary

Modem brand & model number:

Router brand & model number: TP-Link TR-WR1043ND

How many Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles are connected to this router?: One

Wired or Wireless (for each console): Wired

Things you have tried: Different ethernet cables, anither router, DMZ, hard resetting everything

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/No/Unknown: yes

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: Moderate

Any Error Codes you encounter:

Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider): Amtel but its kind of an unknown company tbh

 

What is the make and model of your modem (the device which your wireless router terminates to)?

Have you tried to bypass your router, and make a direct Connection to your console?

If you haven't alrady, please visit the TP-Link website and make sure your router is up-to-date with the latest version of firmware.

Can you do a physical power cycle of your console, by depress the Power button on your console for approximately 10 seconds.

 

My router terminates to a wall-port ( I don't have a modem I believe im a noob at this stuff ) I'll try to update my router but I don't think that's the problem, because the other router that I've tried was up to date. I'll also try to power cycle my Xbox,
and see what happens

 

If it's possible, try connect your console directly to the "wall-port" and let me know that changes anything.

 

I believe it isn't possible to connect to the internet on an Xbox without a router or modem. So far no success.

 

One more thing I notice is that I have a higher packet loss in the evenings (when more people use the internet) but I don't understand why I have no packet loss on my PC and why I have no lag on the 360... It's weird. Right now I have a 2-3% packet loss
but I had 11% once. So i don't know but it's ***.

 

Hmm I just noticed something very weird. If I ping my Xbox from my router I get a 75% packet loss every time. Hmm..
