As a developer, they will want to reach as many people as possbile, again, it's all down to which Pub they choose to market, sell and back up their product. But i believe you will find that EA will still be the publisher, Just going from what EA says about

From those Statement alone, indicates to me, That EA, have an agenda for Titanfall. that includes them publishing it for some time.

This is a small team (seems serious),right now they don't have enough resources to act stupidly.

Also,there will be a season pass/DLCs and doesn't seems to rush them.

They takes their time....Smart way to act.

If it was all about EA,Titanfall will be release since november 22nd with tons of patches.

Too True Tzar........ It would defo be patches each and every week. Good thing they had the Beta. Just to iron out some wrinkles.

I bet if they did a BF4 Beta. It would have been delayed and hurt sales

Wow, I forgot about this post! But as I've said countless times, Respawn said ps3/4 is not advanced enough for the TF ip. Therefore TF will never be on ps brand! No matter what ps fanboys say, they can never live this down!

^^^ That clearly states TF is first next gen game, since respawn said PS4 is not powerful enough for a next gen games, therefore ps4 is not next gen!!

To be honest I think what Respawn have said can be taken with a pinch of salt....I think it is in their interest to "big up" the MS Cloud as it implies their game's something no other game has.

I think if there was the will and Respawn wanted to go the multi-console route (which would diminish the game but increase their profit)....and all the politics/contracts lined up....then I think a future PS4 Titanfall (sequal) is do-able. I just don't
think it is something we should worry about - if Respawn want to spread themselves thin by doing multi-console then so be it....let's worry about it if and when it happens.

And just to be clear I am a MS fan and I really think Titanfall is special (so don't discount me as a Sony Fanboy).

LOL - That is not the official Titanfall page. I could make one up saying anything i wanted, and reading the wrong context into everything everyone ever releases as a statement.

In the actual Respawn link (the Official One) they said they approached both Microsoft and Sony. That goes to show that both systems are powerful enough, It is that Microsoft had (and still have) the better servers at the time, and could offer them the better
deal.

@Sword, Right, believe what you want, but a company doesn't go around selling building, closing stores, laying off people just to fund a new project. They don't have money in the bank period.

The reason MS got Titanfall is because they had the hardware and software to do what the Titanfall developers want to do. Sony did not!

It is a number of factors. As if Microsoft servers are the only servers, it's whether EA, want to supply the servers themselves. EA, supply most of the servers for most of their games themselves. If it is a viable money making effort, they will do it. Again
Realist attitude.

EA, could either say to Sony, reduce your license fee for every game sold from $8 to $4, whereas Sony would still make millions, and EA, would make even more, which will be used on their own dedi servers. Or Sony would say, We will purchase/hire servers
from either Microsoft/Google/Amazon, etc and host them for you, but still take our normal cut.

I know people want a specific game to stay on a platform, and that is all well and good. But Microsoft is not the be all and end all of server providers out there. And if a company like EA, wants to make money, They will do it. It is that simple.

Its commonly found with a few key google searches, that Sony tried to get Rackspace to help out with there needs using Openstack to provide dedicated servers for their games, as they knew P2P is very limiting, and you would have to host a server the AI calculations
and render the game, which would limit multiplayers to a small handfull of real players. It was even announced but then taken down when Sony pulled out of the deal because they could not pay the bill. Still think they could make dedicated servers for TF ?

*Edit update, looks like they still using OpenRack and Amazon for storage and cloud options. I wonder how much that costs to rent servers, then owning them.
