p90x tracking issues

I've been doing plyometrics pretty consistently but I have been frustrated as late of certain exercises not tracking well and therefore not receiving points. The exercises I see issues with are:

1. Marching in place

2. Marching in place (wide knees)

3. Rock star hops

4. Swing kicks

5. Military march

Rock star hops I get ZERO fitness points on, no matter what I do.

March in place, I used to get points but now it gives me nothing or maybe a red bar until we start to run in place. Very frustrating as march in place shouldn't be complicated to track!

Swing kicks and military march are inconsistent. Sometimes I get solid green and then it drops to red/yellow with no change on my part. Very confusing.

I also experience the issue where I have to reboot my Xbox one by holding down the Xbox logo on the front for 5 seconds in order for it to recognize my Xbox live gold account. VERY ANNOYING. When is Microsoft going to fix these horrible bugs?!

Xbox fitness

Anyone else super excited about xbox fitness? I am a 2 year veteran of p90x and I can wait to keep doing it with kinect tracking integrated!

Agree with the OP. I was looking forward to the P90x and am definitely disappointed. I expected more P90x workouts and also better integration with the kinect.. which i guess would be tough to do but I expected more.

At this point I'd settle for even movement/muscle the tracking that the kinect can do as a snappable app that I can run myself. Just being able to track your form would be good.

 

Oh and lunge jumps don't work either! FIX IT!

 

LOVE the p90x series, wish they had more, would definitely pay for more (above and beyond the gold subscription). Much better than the DVDs. But PLEASE fix the bugs with the tracking for the exercises and the horrible XBOX LIVE GOLD reboot issue mentioned
in several other threads.

 

I've had issues with tracking but have not tried any of the Beachbody programs yet.

I struggled for the longest time on one of the MOSSA challenges where you had to get 5 stars on an exercise and even though I thought I was doing it as well as the leader doing an unmodified version, the gauge showed yellow, red or no bars sometimes.

Finally I watched the modifier and copied them exactly and that seemed to fix the problem. Without having a coach there to explain some nuance of form, it seems the only way to get around this problem. Even though the exercise was modified, it still felt
quite difficult (alternating jump lunges) so I didn't feel like I was cheating per se.

There was a worse issue I was having which was on jumps where the camera would lose me altogether until I waved at it. I got a big 6ft x 6ft exercise mat which has helped with that quite a bit.
