Owned games not working without GamePass subscription

So I've been playing DayZ on GamePass. Liked it so much I bought it with the dlc. Been playing the dlc too. I recently canceled my GamePass subscription. And now when I try to play DayZ (which I HAVE purchased and is in my owned games) it won't let me play and says I need to renew my GamePass to play. I've done the hard reset, tried the profile delete. Tried from a different profile. Uninstalled the game and reinstalled from the store 3x now. Still won't change. Any advice?

Apparently I've had GPS ultimate so long I forgot you need gold to play online.. hah. Thank you for the very simple solution.

Is it asking for just Game Pass or a Game Pass Ultimate or Gold subscription? You would still need Gold to play it online so you would need Gold or Game Pass Ultimate (which includes Gold).

sharing accounts like that can lead to a ban, also the way you did it wont work.

get yourself an ultimate subscription on your own account then you can download any of the gamepass games, without an active subscription the games will not be playable as you do not own them.,

You won't have Gamepass.

Gamepass is a subscription that provides access to a library of games that can be played without purchasing them. Similar to Netflix.

While "Gamepass Ultimate" provided access to that same library and also gives access to Xbox Gold and EA Play.

Ea Play is also like gamepass that offers their own game library that can be accessed while the Subscription is active.

With Gamepass Ultimate, you'll have Gold, Gamepass, and Ea Play all in one Subscription.

However, what you purchased (Xbox Live) is Xbox Gold. This is a subscription that provides access to online gaming.

It is not Gamepass so if you are looking for an active Gamepass after redeeming that 12-month Subscription, Gamepass will not show but Xbox Live or Xbox Gold should show.

Is that showing up at all?

metal gear rising revengance is a awsome game i have played it two but to my knowledge its not suppposed to crash when started but it could be a error since you no longer have gold and games you get
on gold can no longer be used without it as you have not offficialy purchased the game most games wont let you play them again without the subscription as most games i owned thru gamepass ultimate,gold,and game pass have no longer let me play sice i no longer
own the subscriptions so as long as you dont buy the game officially it wont work without he subscriptions.
