    anyone purchase loot crates at xbox.com?

    my xbox one is not in standby. when i got home i could not see them as downloadable via the "manage game" menu.

    when i booted up the game they were not there either (as if they somehow were already installed)

    overwatch loot boxes

    So when I buy loot boxes for overwatch I like to buy them off xbox.com while im sitting at work.

    But finding them on the xbox store, or Microsoft store, is the most god awful cumbersome mess ever. They don't show up as DLC if you just search Overwatch. They don't appear under the Overwatch hub on xbox.com. And if I type in any combination of overwatch
    or loot boxes...they don't show up either. I have to go to google or bing and type in overwatch - # loot boxes and follow a link from the search engine.

    am I missing something or is it just that stupid?

    There have probably been similar problems to this, but I purchased Overwatch Game of the Year from gamestop, I already called them, and recieved the 10 free loot crates code. I entered the code in microsoft store, and it said the code was valid, so I started
    the game up, and to my surprise, there were no loot boxes whatsoever in my game! Is this a common glitch and is there any way you can fix this? Incase you attempt to send lootboxes to my account for whatever reason, It was on another account on the Xbox, 7.
    And no they are not on another account, I checked.

    In my opinion, pay to win and loot crates has no place in retail games. I get that developers want to maximize potential revenue, which is why they include them. If they insist on having micro-transactions, then make it only for optional cosmetics.

    It'd be great if all games shipped with content (abilities, costumes, cheats) that were attainable by playing the game.

    I have never been a fan of the loot crate system. Pay to Win, and even Pay to Advance Faster tends to break the game for me. I am not convinced that it needs legislation to fix though. They tend to break and ruin more than they fix when they meddle
    in gaming.

    Belgium is only country that banned loot boxes so far and have fines deep fines for developers who goes aganist there law.

    I saw this on the news a few days about this senator who wants to pass this law in the U.S. and waiting to see the outcome of this bill.

    I would assume not, but loot boxes are in games that are rated well below the gambling age. I think Rocket League has a PEGI rating of E, for everyone.

    It's very different to a 3-year-old going into Vegas and playing Poker ;)
