Overwatch team chat not working

when ever I play overwatch I can never hear anyone on team chat. And I've tried all I can and so far nothing has worked. I could really use some help. Thanks in advanced.

Overwatch Xbox One In-game team chat not working

Hello,

I like most Overwatch players use the in-game voice chat whilst playing, especially for ranked games. It worked fine for me until I got reported by a salty 5-man, who all reported me for harassment or something, back in January, told me to my face it was
because I played poorly (fix your system Microsoft, it is ridiculously abusable). Anyway, I got a communication ban, my first and only, so it was only 2 days... or a week... not sure, point is that it expired.

At that point, I went back into a ranked match and was unable to use the in-game team chat and haven't been able to since. I can join and speak in parties, with friends and randoms, I can use the in-game chat features of at least one other game (7 Days to
Die), just fine.

I have contacted Blizzard through their support system and they have said that they have no input into the player communication side of Overwatch on console. I have communicated with Microsoft support and been provided with steps to resolve the issue. These
steps did not solve my issue. I will provide screenshots of the messages from both support services below.

Is anyone else having this issue? Any solutions or ideas would be most appreciated.

Team chat not working

Having same issue again, I'm afraid. Tried same trick of disconnecting headset but no luck. Just seems random as to when it does it doesn't work.

 

Hey there, if this problem still persists I have a few things you can try.

Make sure you have team chat turned on, to do this launch your game and go to options > sounds > Team voice chat and set it to auto join, also make sure your match voice chat is turned on.

Make sure if you have parental controls on that they aren't prohibiting your ability to speak and hear others online.

Make sure you aren't in a party
