I've played it 2 nights in a row and must say I am thoroughly enjoying myself. Because it is a bit cel-shaded, (cartoonish), might not be to everyone's cup of tea and by the looks of it, it is a MP only game.

Deffo worth trying the beta and there are so many characters to choose from that you have to at least play them once each, but in the end you stick to 2/3 characters that you enjoy.

Also to add, it is one of the smoothest beta's I've played to-date, not noticed any bugs!

 

Had a little dabble & it is good fun.Have to agree,very smooth for a beta.

Good variety of characters to choose from too.

 

The game is enjoyable and fun, but not sure about the lasting appeal of it. You unlock character skins and stamps, just sort of wish there was more to unlock or get from it like new types of moves or weapons. Just my opinion...

 

I like the artwork and choices. BUT the lack of team work on escort missions is a bummer.

 

I've already got this on pre-order.

I was impressed with all the gameplay videos I've seen so far and Blizzard have a very good reputation as a publisher.

I don't know whether to dip my feet in the beta or just wait until it all comes out official.

With it just openning up people will still be wrapping their heads round it and it will probably take some people a while to figure out this is an OBJECTIVE based shooter and get out of their Kill/Death ratio rut.

 

Honestly Az,i'd give the beta a go.As Spiff said,i don't think this will have much longevity.

I don't know how many game modes are in the final game but it needs to be a lot for it to keep you interested in my opinion.

I like the fact that the unlocks don't give anyone an advantage but then whats to work for?

As much as I don't like Destiny at least you get some better equipment to work for,you don't in this as far as I can see.

It is fun from what I've played & at the end of the day that's all that matters but I don't see the community lasting that long to be honest.

 

I played this some last night. As a few have said, I'm not sure what the lasting appeal would be, but for now it seems fun. I'd say there's a 50% chance I will get it. That percentage may climb or drop after I play it
some more. lol

 

After playing this off and on for the last 2 days I have to say it's gotten old fast.

 

I agree. I have enjoyed the game somewhat. But it just does not feel like something I would play very long.

 

Yeah,got bored of it already & it's just the beta.

Not a game i'll be buying,not at full price anyway.

 

I've been trying the Beta over the weekend on both Console Platforms. It's pretty much identical for each but oddly, I tend to get better games (far less getting killed from bogus one-shots) from the Xbox One version. Not sure
why this is?

Overall, I'm still on the fence if I actually want to buy it come release. It's Content is very thin being MP only. Not that I want a tacked on SP but it's missing a lot of Content that would otherwise be associated with a similar type Game. I think Devs have
severely misunderstood people when they play MP more often then a SP Campaign. It's not a free pass to not include Content that should take the place of no SP/ Campaign.

I don't see it having any lasting power, so I might just skip it.

 

The game was thought to be free to play at one point, partly down to team fortress being free to play with micro transaction, that not the case and I think its mainly due to being available on console.

While the game play was solid, the graphics were good, i think the game has a few issue, balance is one, while there are counter classes to everything, it runs inline with the other issue teams, online MP objective games have an issue where people play how
they want, and not what is needed, so i think I won every game i played solely because our team played the objective and the other team didn't.

Imagine a team of all the character that turns into a turrent, or a team of half those and half shield people, on a game mode like domination.

If it were the free to play option on launch, or was not a full price game i would consider it, but as it stands now i won't.
